Ronan Morgan appointed FIA observer at "St.Petersburg Northern Forest" International Baja

Ronan Morgan, FIA official observer, will visit the "Northern Forest" which will be held as a candidate for the FIA International Cup for Cross-Country Bajas.

All passionate for motorsports know Ronan Morgan rather well, especially when we remember that his activities this year had an impact on the results of classical rally World Championship.

Ireland-born sportsman made himself a name as co-pilote to Mohammed Bin Sulayem in 1988-1995. Their crew gained two victories among Production cars (group N, no championship awarded at that time), while its best overall standings was the 6th place at Rally Argentina 1993.

After the end of his competitive career Ronan gave himself to competitions organization. He acted for some time as director of Wales Rally GB and then became the encourager of th organization of a Championship stage in Ireland. The race that was held in his mother country was a success as candidate as well as an actual Championship stage.

Let's hope that Morgan's executive talent will have the same favorable effect on the «St.Petersburg Northern Forest» baja!
Ronan Morgan shared with us his considerations concerning his future voyage to Russia on such an important mission.

«As a member the FIA commission for Cross Country rallies, I have been appointed FIA observer for your event. I am looking forward to assisting the organisers and the Russian Federation in any way possible to upgrade the event to the necessary standard required to join the prestigious FIA International Cup for Cross Country Bajas.

Two the unique attractions of the event are that it takes place on a snow surface and starts in the beautiful historic city of St. Petersburg.».
